Our highly regarded non-profit charity organization, A Broader View Volunteers, is the best place to volunteer in Costa Rica. Placements for volunteers can be found all over Costa Rica, primarily in the cities of San Jose and Escazu as well as along the Pacific and Atlantic coasts. In Costa Rica, volunteers can choose from one of 19 programs.
A Broader View has hosted hundreds of university student groups, peace corps alternative teen programs, and family volunteer programs in our Costa Rica turtle programs, which offer housing for up to 30 volunteers. Programs can be tailored for groups of five or more who are interested in volunteering together. A Broader View Volunteers has extensive experience organizing individualized service trips for small groups with students, teachers, and families.
Volunteer Costa Rica Pacific Coast Review Nicole & Marissa Sea Turtles Conservation Program Volunteer Costa Rica Pacific Coast Review The Spanish optimistically referred to Costa Rica as the “Rich Coast.” People think of paradise when you mention Costa Rica. Despite its small size, Costa Rica attracts well over a million visitors annually, which is understandable. Costa Rica is a great place to volunteer due to its mild climate throughout the year, relaxed requirements for travelers for visas, and welcoming locals.
Support for orphanages, a teaching project, assistance for the elderly, and healthcare work are among the volunteer projects we support in San Jose/Escazu. The Pacific and Caribbean coasts are where the Sea Turtle projects are based. Volunteers for Sea Turtles must arrive in San Jose early in the morning or early in the afternoon. Due to travel time to the project site, night flights will cause a one-day delay in the beginning of your program.
