“On a road trip in Western Australia, almost 12 years ago, I realized for the first time that plastic was a serious problem for our planet.
We halted at a store along the Coral Straight coast to get a few basic foods and the woman at the counter let us know they sold no shopping sacks to forestall plastic in the sea and to help protecting the jeopardized turtles living around there. We gathered all of our shopping in our arms, initially surprised, and left after considering what we had been told.
This was only one of the many encounters I’ve experienced that made me more cognizant about my effect and pushed me to embrace different propensities to live and travel more economically. For instance, ever since that trip, whenever I go shopping, I always bring a cotton bag with me.
