Tourism is largely protected from the crisis due to the significance of visitors in generating much-needed foreign exchange. Hotels can prevent tourists from losing power because they have generators.

The government has taken steps to give fuel priority to tourism vehicles. Weekend visitors and their guides were completely exempt from the curfew. Customers of ETG in Sri Lanka have continued their planned tours in spite of the shortages and protests.

‘We hope that the Government of Sri Lanka can quickly resolve the grave political and economic issues that the country is facing.’ Customers can continue their vacations safely and as planned thanks to our constant communication, and visitors are not subject to any curfews.

Sri Lanka receives much-needed foreign currency from tourism, and plans are being made to ensure that visitors’ stays are unaffected.
