The slopes of the Ulan Buh Desert and the Tengger Desert were drastically distinct. I had the impression that the weeds would have an effect on the driving before we entered the desert, but it mostly depended on the kind of vegetation there.
Since we had spent a lot of time in Ulan, the big force was split into two teams by the 17th stroke. Our five-car team was led by one of our travel companions, Huang Ge, and the other cars were led by another friend.
