I’m not an explorer, but I get the title “explorer” from time to time. Those who write maps were the explorers, those who follow them are adventurers. Karl Bushby Karl Bushby aspires to become the first person to complete a round-the-world journey unabated.
He started the Goliath Expedition in 1998 at the southernmost tip of South America and is still moving. He wants to get back to England soon, and as of 2020, he was having trouble getting a visa, but he is still committed to finishing his walk. He will have traveled more than 36,000 miles across four continents and two dozen countries, traversing icy seas, mountains, and deserts.
