The Hampi Bazaar is perhaps the most visited destination in Hampi. In front of the Virupaksha Temple is the one-kilometer stretch of shops on either side. It is now surrounded by small shops that sell jewelry, clothes, and antiques, as well as restaurants that serve a wide range of cuisines, and it is bounded by ancient pavilions.
The enormous Nandi Statue can also be seen along the path. It is the location of the Hampi arts festival known as the Vijaya Utsav. It is also known as Yeduru Basavanna. In the direction of the Vitthala Temple, you can also see the Sule Bazaar, which is said to have been the red-light district of the ancient town.
