My first solo trip was on Expat’s second trip. On my first trip, I talked to a few people who were traveling alone and decided to give it a try after meeting a few of them.
It turns out that I enjoy traveling on my own. When I want company, I have it, and I can do what I want. I was terrified the first time I landed on my own in London and wondered why I thought this was a good idea. When I got together with the group the next morning, my worries went away, and I had a blast.
I’ve taken the metro to all of Paris, Barcelona, Nice, and Italy. To have so much fun seeing everything I wanted to see was amazing! I am at a point in my life where I am able to travel affordably and with sufficient time.
I have always traveled with my friends and family, but they are at different points in their lives and cannot join me because of family or financial obligations. They are my biggest cheerleaders and consistently like my photos on Facebook.
