Marrakech has a bewildering energy that pulls you in, twirls you around, and leaves you needing more. All of these are excellent reasons to ensure that you have a relaxing place to stay the night—and you will, thanks to a few exciting opportunities. The hotel’s dreamy riad El Fenn has just added ten brand-new rooms that combine striking contemporary art, bold colors, and intricate artisanal details. Two new locations will open this spring on the other side of the medina. First up is Rosemary, a charming new riad designed by Laurence Leenaert, creator of the LRNCE ceramics and textiles brand. It features a serene courtyard and a sunny roof.
The former Pearl Hotel will be given new life by a new Nobu hotel in the leafy Hivernage neighborhood, which is home to some of the best nightlife in the city. Out in the Agafay Desert, a 45-minute drive from the medina, Habitas has quite recently opened the Consuming Man-enlivened Band Agafay. The stone desert here looks more lunar than sandy, so don’t expect rolling Saharan dunes. Instead, expect boho tents, swimming pools, moon gazing, and a lot more.
