I wasn’t in a good place in life in the middle of 2019 either. I was going through a serious breakup, I was exhausted at work, my family was having issues, and my ever-increasing sense of isolation had pushed me into a depression pit. Traveling and blogging were the only things that made me feel good at that point in my life.
I made the decision to quit my job to travel after some thought. I didn’t give it much thought because I knew it was the only thing that would keep me from going over the edge because I had saved enough money to last me for eight to ten months.
When I quit my job, the first thing I did was go to India and visit the Himalayas. In the state of Himachal Pradesh, I spent a month in the Kinnaur and Spiti valleys. The Kinnaur neighborhood was a welcome respite. My soul was moved by the snow-capped mountain range in the distance, the lush greenery all around, the small population, and the friendly people.
